VINIFICATION

The grapes which are harvested at the end of september are immediately gently pressed. After an alcoholic fermentation for approximately 14 days, the must is left for a few more 10 days in contact with the skins to extract all the noble substances. The wine is aged for around ten months in small oak barrels of 500 liters, six months in steel tanks and finally one year in the bottle.

THE WINE

This wine is a selection from some vineyards which are really good for cultivating this vine. The vinification and ageing in wood barrels is not aimed to change the typical characteristics of Barbera, who have to be clear and identifiable as for all our wines. Its strongest and more powerfull aroma are well balanced with a proper ageing. Bouquet of cherry, peppers and spices, persistent, full body and fresh in the mouth
